People Like Us is such a warm and sincere melodrama. It's already excellent screenplay is further complemented by solid, heartfelt performances. The overarching plot is somewhat predictable, as well as Sam's (Pine) dynamic transformation, but the very end will cause an unexpected emotional jolt that leaves a smile on your face.
