Review of Penny Serenade (1941) by Mark S — 29 Mar 2009
I found this quite a strange one as although there is humour in the film it is far outweighed by all of the unfortunate circumstances that befall the lead pair. There's a lot more melodrama than I expected from a film starring Cary Grant and Irene Dunne.
I still quite liked parts of it though, particularly the scene where Grant pleads to keep custodianship of his daughter.
