Review of Penguins of Madagascar (2014) by Sujit O — 06 Dec 2014

Everything which we loved in the penguins during the Madagascar movies are shown in all of its glory for their very own feature movie. Of course the biggest question here is, do the penguins have enough material to sustain themselves for a dedicated feature animation? The answer is surprisingly yes! A good backstory and a decent story manages to hold things for a short runtime of an hour and a half. But 'the penguins of madagascar' is made for sheer enjoyment and kids fun. The film doesnt take much time to go into full power and for the remainder of the movie, it never really comes down. The comedy runs along the lines of spoof films making it consistently filled with unexpected and funny one liners. The problem however is that, with spoof comedy you never enter into the movie experience. My favourite aspect of this movie is that, they manage to continue with this form of comedy and still keep you interested in the running storyline. If you ask me its a very hard task but they pulled it off and for that they get 4 stars.

Incredibly fast paced similar to the Madagascar movies.A fun and light movie going experience.
