Review of Penguins of Madagascar (2014) by Peter B — 31 Aug 2015
The Penguins are easily the best part of Madagascar, so it's only natural that they'd get their own movie. Their brief origin story (with Werner friggin Herzog!) is perfect. As in previous movies the Penguins are just as cute and funny but in this they are let down by the main story.
A jealous octopus disguised as a man is the best the writers could come up with? Small kids will enjoy it but with better writing, the Penguins could appeal to all ages.
