Review of Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) by Terry M — 20 Oct 2007
This movie has sort of a creepy "Blanche DuBois" quality to it, I think. Other than that, I liked the premise, and the way Kathleen Turner and Nicholas Cage played off of one another. Speaking of Cage, remember when he seemed like some sort of possibly brilliant weirdo loose-cannon actor who was capable of anything? This is one of those movies.
Who the hell else would have given such a wimpy, nasal wheeze of a voice to a character so clearly written as an Elvis-aping school heartthrob? The answer is: no one. At least not in 1986.
