It's okay. I don't think Coppola can really do levity. He's big on the epic side, and he does that brilliantly, but it seems that he can't make characters work on a smaller scale. When he has a big theme, he just comes alive.
Still, Kathleen Turner did have an undeniable star quality back then. I'd rank this a fair way below Body Heat, but it's a decent example of why she was so hot back then, if a tad sloppy overall.
