Once again, I liked this movie because of its great performances of these great actors and a fine story with interesting concept. I don't need to tell what this movie is all about and what happen to each scene from start to end. Just think of this film as a reminiscent of â??Back to the Futureâ?? and â??Hot Tub Time Machineâ?? but this one is serious, it has a very deep theme and moody tone that sometimes we get to laugh, cry and feel warm-up at the same time by the main character Peggy Sue and her family and friends. Like from the 2 films that I mentioned earlier, the lesson that we learned throughout the film is that the character must change or relive once again to the past that she already gone through for her present and future time will be as usual the same or change. Also, Nicholas Cage's performance is also fine but his voice is very annoying that I think he is like a 16-17 year old teenager. What I was thinking as well is that did we really know what happened to Peggy Sue's parents, grandparents, and sister because at some point in the present world we just saw her daughter not knowing about those people as well. If â??Hot Tub Time Machineâ?? was not made, then this movie would still be an all-time great because that movie is somewhat a buddy comedy version of â??Peggy Sue Got Marriedâ?? meaning the main characters in that film try to make also a change to their past while they are actually on the past.

Overall, Francis Ford Coppola's idea of a time travel in a romance film just works. Other filmmakers probably at the time this was 1st released wondering how could they a much better and much interesting love story that has a little fantasy, and yet many romance films these days just become weak and horrible but this one still remains a classic and probably one of the best films of 1986 (along with â??Platoonâ??). So, â??Peggy Sue Got Marriedâ?? just deserves a 4 out of 5 stars.
