A fun, if familiar, 80s-teen-film diversion. Kathleen Turner has a great voice. The cast is pretty surprising: Nicolas Cage, Helen Hunt, Jim Carey, directed by....Francis For Coppola. I could totally see somone relating to this movie-not me obviously.
The begining is a lightweight good time, but things turn a little bittersweet towards the end, and that's not necessarily a tonal shift for the better.
