A very black comedy of a real tragic social issue of people in abject poverty in India committing suicide due to loss of their only valuable asset - land - which is mortgaged for income. It is also about superficial politicians, neighborhood bosses and media exploitation.
This provides a contrast of the economic boom in India which is passing by the majority of people. The story unfortunately provides only cardboard stereotypes and fails to capture an emotional narrative with it's repetitive and predictable comedy moments.
