Review of Peeping Tom (1960) by Matt G — 13 Jun 2007
An unnerving exploration of voyeurism, sadism, and fear, with Carl Boehm giving an utterly convincing performance as a mentally unstable cameraman who obsessively murders women and documents their dying moments.
The film is unusually successful at disturbing the viewer because it makes us feel as though we are engaging in the same voyeurism as the killer.
