Michael Powell's masterpiece was highly controversial when first released and it's easy to see why; it approaches its subject matter in a serious and mature fashion, and holds a mirror up to the audience by exposing their own voyeuristic tendencies.
Peeping Tom is rightly regarded as one of the greatest British horror films of all time years later. It's a compelling study of a serial killer, one that forces us to sympathise with Mark Lewis and follow him as he murders beautiful women through the lens of a portable camera.
