While the main character is most assuredly mad and has many serious mental and sociological disorders, the fact that we are watching a voyeur makes us in turn voyeurs. Definitely a 60's movie, as there are many bold colors, all used at once.
Still, the film about a filmmaker always has some sort of introspective charm to it . . .
