Review of Peeping Tom (1960) by Steve S — 18 Jan 2007
The film that killed off Michael Powell's movie career, is a fascinating study on obsession and voyeurism. It also poses the question on the unreality of life viewed through the lens. Mark detaches himself from the responsiblity of what he is doing by filming it all.
A complex piece that was way ahead of its time and as a result both the director and the film suffered for it.
