Review of Peep World (2010) by Steve S — 20 Jul 2011
** (out of four).
A hit-and-miss comedy drama that mostly misses, but does offer some intense family interaction that most people can relate to on some level.
The entire cast is quite good, especially Ben Schwartz and Michael C. Hall. They make the film watchable and help lift it when the script becomes overly sloppy.
A dysfunctional family gather to celebrate the 70th birthday of their rich and domineering father. It doesn't look to be a good time since the youngest brother (Schwartz) has just written a "fictional" book that reveals the secrets of his family.
