Review of Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) by Tighe G — 05 Apr 2010

This film is about Pee-wee Herman, he has a happy go lucky life. He also has a bicycle which he loves likes its his own child. However, his enemy Francis Buxton, played hilariously by Mark Holton (you know the guy who went on to play John Wayne Gacy, yeah he's hilarious) who is envious over Pee-wee's bike.

Then as Pee-wee is shopping for more toys and things for his house, he notices that his bike is gone, he immediately blames this on Francis as he believes that Francis has stolen it, but Francis claims that he has nothing to do with it.

This is when Pee-wee goes gross country to search for it. He meats up with this fortune teller, who tells him that his bike is in the Alamo, which is in San Antonio, Texas. Pee-wee is determined to find his bike so he goes on his search where he meats some of the most memorable characters I've ever scene, and is involved in one of my favourite chases in cinema.

This film is is one that changed my childhood forever. After watching this cluster fuck of awesome I had to watch it again, and again, and again. I mean I've shown it to all my friends and they've seemed to do the same, so that must mean something.

I just love to humor, and that great Tim Burton style. I mean, it's Peeâ??wee, what's not to love.
