All these years have passed and I had never actually seen this movie. Watching it as an adult, I can safely and genuinely say that I indeed laughed. A lot. I found everything about Pee-Wee's adventure to be charming and hilarious, with good flow, excellent comedic acting, and great visuals.
It's funny... in fact it is very funny. It is easy to see how this quickly became not only a classic and a launcher of Burton's career, but also how it was able to give life to Pee-Wee's own show.
