Sometimes they made the old films with their motivational intent right out in the open. This effort involves father/son relationships, their importance to the overall community, and what happens when once such bond is tested by outside negative influences.
Tell you what, I didn't want to like this, all that in-your-face manipulation, but the star, little Jackie Cooper, turned me around. Well, at least I didn't hate it.
