Pieced together (sometimes unevenly) with archival footage, talking head interviews and media clips, Crowe pulls off an entertaining document of Pearl Jam. He especially hits some poignant explanations on the origins of the so-called grunge movement.
It's a love-letter of musical devotion, ironic tragedy and overcoming adversity in the wacky world of commercial music.
