Review of Pearl Harbor (2001) by Kashfia F — 22 Feb 2014
If this film wasn't directories by Bay I expect the criticism wouldn't of been so harsh. 'Pearl Harbour' tells the story of Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett two young fighter pilots in World War II, alongside a supporting cast featuring Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding Jr.
and Alec Baldwin a group of soldiers and nurses find themselves victim to the attack of Pearl Harbour. The acting from the lead actors are average with Cuba Gooding Jr. being the highlight of the film in his under utilised role.
The script is bad, the lines of dialogue can be cheesy and laughable - something which a true story should not have. Also the length is noticeable but excusing it's flaws the film is hugely enjoyable especially the forty minute battle sequence on Pearl Harbour itself and the secret mission towards the films climax which will likely have you in tears.
