Review of Peaceful Warrior (2006) by Aaron R — 21 Mar 2008
In the hands of a better director this inspirational film could've been a powerhouse. But Salva overbears the film with homo-eroticism (like he does with all his films - Powder, Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2) - which makes the film seem a bit seedy.
Lots of male flesh, hot bods and sweeping score. Nolte is suitably enigmatic as Socrates and Mechlowicz is serviceable as Dan. Good but could've been great.
