It was kind of preachy, kind of cliched, and sort of sounds like a novel written by Fortune Cookie, Inc., but what it lacks in innovation, it makes up for with obvious sincerity and occasional inspiration.
Plus, it made me corrected my misconception about Nick Nolte and made me realize that he is, in fact, still among the living.
