If you concentrate on the message this movie conveys, then it is a good movie. If you get caught up in the jock-centric movie that is like every other sport movie, then it is not very good.
Nick Nolte plays the perfect craggy old philosophical man.
There are some very good moments scattered throughout the film.
Well worth a watch.
After all it's the journey, not the destination that brings us happiness.. ; ).
