I read the book Way of the Peaceful Warrior years ago so that's why I wanted too see this. It feels like other inspirational sports movies like Rocky or Breaking Away. It's a little deeper than those titles.
Nick Nolte is very good as the mysterious sage who schools the young gymnast on a healthier approach to life.
