I've become a bit of a fan towards John Woo over the years, and I still need to see quite a bit of his work, and thats why I decided to check out this film.

Being a bit biased because of my fanboyishness I did actually like Paycheck in a mildly entertaining way. It's predictable to an extent, but it provides a couple of popcorn chase scenes that aren't elaborate, but they are fun to watch. Ben Affleck isn't the best actor in the world and is given a bad rep because of some of his film choices that he chooses to star in, but I don't mind him, and after watching The Town recently, and my love affair for Daredevil I am becoming a fan. Here however he dissapoints a bit, and the film sufferes in some of those areas.

Aaron Eckhart shows up, and delivers a pretty descent performance and kind of counters Affleck to help balance things out. The only true wasted talent so to speak is Paul Giamati, and Uma Thurman who don't really get a chance to add anything to this movie.

It may seem like it's trying to hard to be a thrilling piece of film, but if you take it for what it is, and have some low expectations you might be able to walk out of it with some form of non hate towards this film.
