Review of Payback (1999) by Rajneel S — 15 Jan 2009
Disappointing, possibly mis-marketed, seedy, crime/revenge flick is mostly underdone by star Mel Gibson's meddling which forced the story to take the character through a more heroic journey which is filled with less shocks and surprises and more paint-by-numbers, shoot-the-bad-guys fluff.
Good pieces, but undone by execution and short-changed screenplay.
