Review of Payback (1999) by Caio J — 15 Oct 2009
Despite myself, I like this movie. All the characters are interesting, in a 'cardboard-needed-to-add-conflict-but-nothing-else' kinda way. I love the in-jokes, the relentless mess Porter gets himself deeper in, and out of, and Lucy Lui in chaps.
It's not a great, deep movie, but good for what it is and that is 'completely watchable escapism'.
