Review of Pay It Forward (2000) by Jenna S — 01 Jul 2013
I sort of liked the movie, because it has a good message about how what you do affects others. However, I really dislike it when children act in a film they normally wouldn't be allowed to see. Because they will watch it if they can because of the kids being in it.
I wanted to get into the film, but I kept feeling sorry for any kids that will watch the film without parental guidance. But then again, I really enjoyed seeing Poltergeist when I was about ten. Really, though, this film has adult themes like man/woman sleepovers, illegal drug use, domestic abuse, and homicidal violence.
Do we really want to teach our kids how to hook-up? That's my criticism. If you can enjoy it without feeling guilty, great. I might read the book.
