Review of Pawn Sacrifice (2015) by Marco C — 02 Oct 2015
A perfect biopic? Not COMPLETELY! but a bad biopic? No! Toby Maguire gives another performance where I just wanna see more of him. Every second you are thinking about what could happen next and if he could kill or hurt himself.
Every second you are worried just as he is about the game. And then, he overcomes it and beats Borris. I LOVE this movie. All throughout, I was scared and then by the end, I was hoping somehow he could win and he did.
Instead of worrying about the political crap, it was about the game, Chess. This film made me cheer for a chess match... in a ping pong room... So yeah. :D I also skipped my high school's Homecoming Dance to see this film.
Was it worth it!? HELL. YES!
