Review of Pauline at the Beach (1983) by Hien L — 27 Feb 2009
Once you get passed Arielle Dombasle's "acting", the movie becomes quite palatable. Of course, as with any Rohmer film, you have a realistic cinematography (natural lighting, outdoor settings, music that is solely diagetic except during the beginning and end credits) but artificial plot, dialogue, and characters.
This one may be more sensual than other Rohmer flicks though.
