Review of Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) by Ben C — 15 Apr 2012
I'll be frank, I liked the movie. I liked Paul Blart. There were some really funny moments with him, and the action scenes were, surprisingly, pretty cool. Over the top and still silly, yes, but cool nonetheless.
Now for the bad side: the plot is very flimsy... all of these weird plot twists keep coming up, and it can be very predictable at times. Some of the humor is just slapstick, like Paul Blart running into things. They're funny most of the time, but they can be a bit overused.
Overall, I'd say it's a perfect half-n-half type of movie. You got one great side about it, and then you got some problems filling up the other half, as well. Is it worth watching? That might be up to you to decide.
