Review of Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) by Cheetah J — 27 Aug 2011
Paul Blart simply isn't funny in my opinion. This film is not original, not interesting, and certainly not memorable. All this film is is a bad rip-off of Die Hard in a mall with a PG-rating and Kevin James in the lead role.
I was bored watching this film and it never engaged me at any point, which eventually led me to turn it off during the last half hour because it simply wasn't even worth finishing. I've sat through tons of worse films, but this film was just so lazy and boring it gave me no reason to care about finishing it because it was just so damn unremarkable in every way.
It's simply here to make money and nothing more. How shameful, because this could have been something interesting. No wonder I hate most modern comedies.
