Review of Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009) by Anthony I — 07 May 2014
I am from the movie academy (8949 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills) and I have seen this movie and there are certain nuances about this movie that isn't revealed to the naked eye. I have the trained eye and I have gone through the exams and I honestly have the ability to see these things, so shut up.
Paul Blart tells a story about a man who inside has a feeling of...emptiness. He also reveals this is his actions and this also brings me back to the foreshadowing in this movie which is superb. He just needs to find a wife.
If he does not he will be lonely for the rest of his life, with the exception of his beautiful mother and daughter. His journey starts with an anomaly of his job at the mall as an average mall cop. Down on his luck.
He gets downed by his coworkers (other mall cops) and regular shoppers looking for a deal at the mall. He goes home and it starts to show you that his life is even more and more sad when he is shown making a video of him riding on a segway.
Even though segways are not particularly dorky, the way he rides it makes it seem that way.. now back to the story... I ride segways... now back to the story... and segways are perfectly good means to transport your self honestly I don't see why people think they are so stupid, now shut up and back off me man.
.....back to the journey..... Paul Blart tries to make a profile on a dating website for middle aged adults, his mom recommends that he put his video on the page of him riding his segway, which is the one part of the movie that didn't click in my head.
"Why wouldn't he want all the ladies to know he rides a segway" (I thought) "Maybe it's because he was afraid to make his mom think of him as too much of a bad boy" (I said outloud) "Or maybe he didn't want people to know he had a segway so noone would steal it" (I yelled) "None of those make sense" (I screamed) "This movie is the best" (I whispered).
....back to the journey......He ends up not posting the video (Don't understand why)....(I screamed)....back to the journey...So at the end of the movie and throughout the movie he finds that the segway is actual his one and only friend.
And that he must use it to stop crime throughout gotham. The story continues in the movie The Dark Knight Rises.
