Review of Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015) by Luke S — 23 Apr 2015
In a word... Wow. Somehow Blart 2 surpasses the first one in every category. More falls, more segways, and of course, more Blart. The film takes a couple VERY dark turns early, those familiar with the Blart lore will know what I'm talking about.
The only complaint I have is that the film struggles presenting the deep themes that it is trying to convey, often coming off as creepy or misguided, like in the scene where Blart tells a woman that no does not necessarily mean no if it's a nice guy.
Other than that, this is true cinema, meant to be experienced in the theatre.
