Review of Paul (2011) by Oxana — 23 Aug 2014
Cursing, fornicating, smoking and driving with an alien on board.
After a slow start, two British sci-fi nerds continue their first road trip in USA, moving between known alien locations. On one of them, they actually meet an alien, called Paul.
From here starts an odd, funny, weird and very chaotic journey to take Paul where he wants to go. Traveling with him isn't easy, tohugh - especially when there is a mysterious agency after him, wanting their alien dead.
Meeting an innocent, over-religious Ruth, Graeme and Clive continue their road trip to help Paul get home.
The humor worked pretty well, Paul was very well made, and there was a constant edge of danger involved as a group of agents tracked down the RV. Jason Batrman as Agent Zoil was awesome, and even his two goofy "reinforcements" worked pretty well, even though they were a bit of a comic relief in the beginning.
As good as I expected, definitely a movie to see for those who like comedy - and aliens.
