I just saw this movie for the first time today and I can now say with complete honesty that it is in my mind one of the funniest movies I have seen so far. I love the comrade between Pegg and Frost, and Seth Rogen was the perfect choice for the alien.
The celebrity cameos I thought were cool (look out for Spielberg) and it also shows you at the very end one of the most famous sci-fi locations of all time. In sum, now one of my favorite movies of 2011.
