An entertaining sci-fi comedy made for geeks by geeks, this may leave a sense of unfulfilled potential, but writer/stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are a loveable pair road tripping with the titular alien protagonist, voiced by an engaging Seth Rogen.
Not without its charm, this quirky venture has moments of hilarity, a number of wonderful references to popular film culture and a string of fun performances. A consistently enjoyable ride.
