Review of Patton (1970) by Austin G — 01 Aug 2008
Gorgeously filmed and magnificently acted, "Patton" does the man justice. Every anti-war activist should be forced - at gunpoint - to watch this classic masterpiece. George C. Scott brings immense gravitas to his definitive role.
Though it contains some of the most epic battle sequences ever filmed, the movie is at its heart an empathetic character study of a man who - though born several centuries too late - was far ahead of his time.
Come back, General Patton, we want more!
