Review of Patton (1970) by Jay C — 06 Sep 2008
Uncomfortably nationalistic, egoistic and jingoistic, Patton is shown to be a man whose negative personality traits are the very things that lead him to great success. Although the film is excellent at putting this across, I could not help but feel that the director was somewhat sympathetic with Patton's character and his world view.
