Review of Patton (1970) by Geoff C — 15 Nov 2009
This film was simply brilliant. George C. Scott was great. I don't know why he turned down his Oscar. It is full of great quotes.
"No poor dumb bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by letting the other poor dumb bastard die for his!".
That is a perfect summary of the Character George C. Scott brings to the screen, and by many accounts, what the real George S. Patton was actually like.
