Review of Patton (1970) by Josh H — 23 Aug 2010
A true War Classic in every sense of the word!! The films backdrop, story and locations are sensational but it's Patton himself that just sucks you in.
The scope of this project is amazing, George C. Scott is out of this world. His performance was not only Oscar worthy but could go down as one cinema's greatest performances.
He was incredible, egotistical, passionate, annoying but ultimately brilliant. This film really captures the brain of this Genius Mad Man, takes you into his world and the people around him. And I guess all the elements of this film are larger than life and make it a very enjoyable viewing experience.
There is a good reason why this film is so praised, and talked about and reverred it is an amazing film, watch if not just for an interesting part of history just to enjoy Scott's dazzling performance...a must see classic of the early 70's.....
