Review of Patton (1970) by Sam B — 31 Jul 2013
This movie is not so much about war as it is about the man, General George S. Patton, Jr. Scott nails Patton perfectly, from his towering ego, his lust for power and his bombastic tirades to his respect and admiration for the warrior.
The special effects and war sequences are a bit dated by today's standards, but the portrayal of Patton by Scott is timeless. "Patton" is one of those rare films that will endure regardless of the changing times.
