Review of Patton (1970) by Senor C — 23 Jun 2011
It's sorta strange how things work out considering that Francis Ford Coppola was fired as screen writer on Patton only to win an Oscar for it. I think that he was fortunate to have George C Scott in the title role giving a performance of a life time.
It's an engrossing performance especially when he's shooting mules & slapping soldiers. Patton sometimes was a real son of a bitch but he's a legendary war horse that this epic movie does justice.
@ 3 hours you barely feel the time. When the intermission came up I didn't realize that so much time had past that I would need a break. Just great shit.
