This is possibly the weirdest and my least favourite of all the Jack Ryan movies because it's all so personal; that the IRA would furiously pursue one man and his family on American soil is more than a little unrealistic and bizarre.
Not saying the rest of the Ryan movies are all that realistic (The Sum of All Fears?), but they deal with global conflict moreso than personal vendettas.
