Review of Patriot Games (1992) by Harry W — 19 Aug 2012
Like In The Line of Fire, this is one of those thrillers I never got around to watching at the time. Like that film, much of this has now dated, but it is solid and effective in its execution. Thillers are often only as good as their villain, and here Sean Bean's Irish radical is cold and merciless and driven by real motivation.
Not a bad film overall, but a little long, and the final twenty minutes are extremely well handled.
