Review of Patriot Games (1992) by Scott C — 09 Nov 2012
"Patriot Games" is sort of based on the Tom Clancy novel and find Jack Ryan (played by Harrison Ford now) in his retirement from the CIA days. He teaches. He is, by providence, thrown into a situation where he saves the life of a politician from the wrath of the IRA.
In the process, he kills a leader of the IRA's brother. Well- the brother is pissed, breaks out of jail and comes hunting for Ryan in the United States. There are some very thrilling moments here and the night vision goggle scene at the end is reminiscent of "The Silence of the Lambs" while not as effective.
