Review of Patriot Games (1992) by Matt M — 16 Aug 2013
Ex-CIA Jack Ryan is forced back into service when he saves the life of British prime minister from a terrorist attack by the hands of the IRA. The film is quite disappointingly bland despite its dealing with a hot topic of its times.
Furthermore, it is a much less impressive film than its predecessor Clear and Present Danger due to its conventional regards for the international political action thriller structure, a pace that can be quite dull and a screenplay that sometimes stumbles and tangles.
