Review of Patrik, Age 1.5 (2008) by Paavo L — 21 Apr 2009
All the people that had seen this before me said it was great and really funny. Maybe I just don't understand the humor. I agree that some small parts were funny, but most of the things that was supposed to be funny - I saw as tragic and depressing...
I have to say though that Gustaf Skarsgard made a magnificent performance, and only this makes the film worth watching. Both of the actors are straight in real life, but in the movie they look as if they were truly in love - aspecially Gustaf (who playes Goran).
Overall - nice movie with a good topic... could have been better though... feels a little like they wasted a great idea for a movie. Funny at some parts, but it also feels sort of stretched out... as in unnecessarily long.
