Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Sarah M — 07 Sep 2008
Powerful early Kubrick film about a corrupt military in WWI France. Brilliant drama, deep moral issues about war and capital punishment, dazzling camerawork -- and one major flaw: the actors' colloquial American accents seriously hinder the otherwise convincing French setting.
