Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Ed D — 03 Jun 2010
The acting is mostly pretty stiff and antiquated, the commentary on war is fairly obvious and not nearly as developed as something like "Dr. Strangelove" or "Full Metal Jacket," but there's something compelling to it despite all that.
Not the least of which is seeing Kubrick's style emerge.
