This is a prestigious onslaught of beauty on all fronts. The acting is impeccable, dialogue is intense, the story is resonating, and most of all...the visuals provided by Kubrick are absolutely beautiful as well as haunting.
A War film hasn't moved me like this since The Thin Red Line and All Quiet on the Western Front.
